About this facility
A recycling center collects, sorts and prepares recoverable materials so they can be sold to mills and manufacturers instead of being landfilled. Some are public drop-off sites run by a city, county or hauler; others are commercial buy-back yards or processing plants that take material from collection routes and businesses. What a given site handles depends on its equipment and the markets it sells into, so one center may focus on cardboard and containers while another takes only scrap metal. Many sites pay for certain materials and charge for others. Hours, fees and accepted materials vary — call ahead to confirm what is taken, how it must be sorted and whether there is a minimum quantity.
